Eagle mobile teams to prevent burglaries

VIZIANAGARAM: In an attempt to control housebreaking incidents in the district, Superintendent of Police Y. Gangadhar has decided to constitute eagle mobile teams in all the nine police circles. At the monthly crime review meeting with Sub-Divisional Police Officers, Circle Inspectors and SIs, Mr. Gangadhar said that each mobile team would have two ASIs, two head constables, four constables and four home guards. A Sub-Inspector would be posted as the in-charge of the team. The teams would keep a vigil at busy public places like RTC bus stands, railway stations and trade centres besides keeping vigil on locked houses, if the inmates informed the police before leaving on vacation. The teams would work round-the-clock and they would reach the scene of crime if dialled to phone No. 1090.
