KORAPUT: Work in the NALCO mines at Damanjodi in Koraput district began on Wednesday after being closed for the last 10 days. The employees opted to abstain from work in the mines after naxals attacked the mines area on Apirl 12. The employees, after getting clearance from the police forces that there were no landmines or any kind of damaging explosives planted in the mines area, agreed to work from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Wednesday. The company also assured employees of extending provision of bus facilities for the labourers coming from nearby village to the mines.
