KOCHI: The Sree Sankara annual lecture programme organised by the Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit would be inaugurated by the historian K. N. Panikkar on April 29. Abhiraja Rajendra Mishra, noted scholar and former Vice-Chancellor of Sampoornananda Sanskrit University, Varanasi, would deliver the Sree Sankara annual lecture. Addressing a press conference at the Kalady campus of the university, Vice-Chancellor J. Prasad said that the theme of the lecture is ‘technical sciences in Sanskrit literature’. Dr. Prasad would preside over the inaugural session to be held at the Kanakadhara auditorium on the main campus. P. C. Muraleemadhavan, programme convener, said that the university would organise an all-India ‘kavi sammelan’, this year.
