KOTTAYAM: Two labourers working on maintenance of a waste dump died when the slab covering the dump gave in. According to the police, Rajendran (32) of Thonippara near Ponkunnam and his colleague Renjit (29) from Koorali were engaged in the maintenance work at Elamkulam near Ponkunnam when the mishap occurred. Both suffered serious head injuries and were rushed to Kanjirappally Thaluk Hospital by Fire force and local police. However, both the labourers succumbed to injuries on the way.
