Naxal arrested

KORAPUT: Chitru Sirika, a naxalite from Talametingi under Laxmipur block of Koraput district, was arrested at Sunabeda in the early hours of Saturday, Deepak Kumar, Superintendent of Police, said here. According to Mr Depak Kumar, the arrested naxalite was moving with the naxalites for the last three months. He was acting as a local guide, courier and used to arrange logistics for the Maoists, he added. He was also involved in the recent attack on NALCO mines by the naxals and had been to the hilltop carrying a single barrel gun and had organized people for lifting of explosive bags, the SP said.
