The structural repairs to the Sanctum Sanctorum of Sri Renganathaswami temple have been completed and the Sthapathi, who has experience of similar work done in Sri Pundarikaksha Perumal temple at Thiruvellarai and the Mariamman temple at Samayapuram, has commenced his operations, so that renovation of the Moolavar is expected to be completed in a month, according to the Executive Officer, Sriranganathaswamy Devasthanam, Srirangam. A conference of scholars well versed in the Agama sastras will be convened by about the middle of May to discuss about the details of Mahasamprokshanam.
