‘No case of swine flu in Goa’
Special Correspondent
PANAJI: The Goa Government on Tuesday dispelled apprehension that there were cases of swine flu in some villages of the State.
A spokesman of the State Government clarified that after finding some reports in a section of the media expressing the possibility of swine flu in some villages of north and south Goa recently, H. Faleiro, Director of Animal Husbandry, deputed a team of officers to those villages.
But it was found that no such cases had been reported in the State.
Alert
However, the Animal Husbandry Department had sounded a State-wide alert to keep a watch on the behaviour of pigs and sought reports, he said.
