Priya wins title

HYDERABAD: V.S.S. Priya won the Invitational chess tournament, organised by Jayaprada Chess Academy, with 4.5 points from five rounds here on Tuesday.

The results: 1. V.S.S. Priya, 2. K.S. Anand Reddy, 3. R.C. Prasad, 4. Hinduja Reddy, 5. Manoj Sainath.

Chess tournament

A2H chess academy, in association with Rangareddy district chess association, will organise the A2H All-India FIDE-rated chess tournament in Hyderabad from May 3 to 8.

The tournament is open to players from all over India. Rated as well as unrated players may take part. Contact A2H Chess Academy, beside Canara Bank, Kukatpally, Hyderabad (Ph 40171308 or 98667 02431).

Chintu takes honours

M. Chintu of BEPTA, with a score of 74, won the junior golf tournament, organised by Golf Association of Andhra Pradesh, at Railway Golf Club here.

S. Mahesh and M. Shiva Kumar were tied for second place with scores of 76 each.
