Address Proof Card launched

CUDDALORE: The Department of Posts has introduced a new service for issuing “Address Proof Card,” according to V. Kanagarajan, Superintendent of Post Offices, Cuddalore Division.

In a statement here, Mr. Kanagarajan said that those desirous of obtaining the cards could get the prescribed form for a payment of Rs. 10 at the Cuddalore Head Post Office.

The applicant would have to fill the form and affix a stamp-size photograph on it and submit the same at the Head Post Office. The cards would be made available to those who have completed 18 years. It would act as the documentary evidence about the residence of the card-holder. Further details could be obtained from the Cuddalore Head Post Office either in person or over phone at 04142-231144 and 222493.
