Cross-border curiosity

Pakistani citizens interested in elections in India? On the Indo-Pakistan border in Jalore Lok Sabha constituency in Rajasthan they walk in from across the border to attend political meetings. This may not pose a serious security threat as they are here out of sheer curiosity. “Crossing the porous border along the 350 km stretch in the Sanchore region of my constituency is easy. The Pakistanis living across the border do it quite often,” points out veteran politician and former Union Home Minister Buta Singh. Mr. Singh, several times MP from Jalore, is trying his luck this time as an Independent.
