SHIMLA: Eight tourists from West Bengal, all of them employees of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited, were killed when the bus they were travelling in veered off the road and fell into a deep gorge in Banjar sub-division of Kullu on Wednesday. Five tourists were seriously injured. They were admitted to a local hospital, said the police. The BSNL employees, who were on a sightseeing tour of the hill State, were travelling by the private bus along with their families. The bus went at least 1,000 feet down near Achharu Nallah, 8 km from Banjar near Kullu. Governor Prabha Rao, Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal and Deputy Speaker Khimi Ram have expressed grief over the accident.
