Metro trains to start early on May 7

NEW DELHI: At the request of the Election Commission, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation will run its trains two hours ahead of schedule on May 7 when Delhi goes to the polls.

The trains will run from 4 a.m. on May 7 instead of the usual 6 a.m., said Delhi Metro officials on Wednesday. The decision has been taken to facilitate travel for officers on poll duty. The service will terminate at night at 11 p.m. as usual.
