Staff Reporter
BANGALORE: Farmers from seven villages of Kengeri hobli on Wednesday refused to accept notices on possession of their land for the Bangalore Mysore Infrastructure Corridor (BMIC) project and held captive four Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB) officials all day on Wednesday.
A large number of farmers gathered at Gonipura where four KIADB officials were issuing notices to hand over the documents of land granted by the Government for construction of the BMIC township. The villagers confined the officials under a tree from 10.30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
