BERHAMPUR: Five witnesses deposed before the Phulbani Fast Track Court in Kandhamal district on Thursday, the third day of the hearing of the Swami Lakshmanananda murder case. The five witnesses included Biswambar Sahu, the Personal Security Officer (PSO) provided to the slain VHP leader. The other witnesses were Uttam Gauntia, Arkrur Pradhan, Trilochan Dandasena and Kabiraj Behera. On the second day of this murder cases hearing on Wednesday six witnesses had been summoned. But only two of them, a Revenue Inspector (RI) Binod Chandra Kohor and an amin, Chandrasekhar Pradhan of Tumudibandha had turned up. Though the two witnesses were prepared, the prosecution denied examining them as no statements and requisitions were available in the case record. Nun caseThe Baliguda court has ordered the second phase of the Test Identification parade in the nun rape case to be held at Baliguda sub-jail on Friday. Five new accused persons arrested by police are to be produced in this TI parade before the victim nun. The first TI parade was held in the Choudwar Central Jail.
