Collector warns RIMS

Staff Reporter

ADILABAD: Adilabad Collector Ahmad Nadeem on Thursday warned the management of Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) Adilabad for poor services at the hospital. He sought improvement in services within one week failing which the officials at RIMS will have to face action.

On receiving reports of poor performance at the RIMS hospital, the Collector inspected the premises and found it in very bad shape. He said it was pity that the CT scan machinery that cost Rs. 1 crore lay wasted for want of a Radiologist. He also found over half the rooms in the hospital not being used to admit patients. Mr. Nadeem asked the RIMS Director Sriram Rathod, Superintendent Durga Prasad and RMO Ashok to improve coordination for improvement of services. He sought a status report on working of the RIMS.
