Thrissur: The Kerala Elephant Lovers’ Association had demanded blood tests for elephants being featured at Thrissur Pooram. In a statement here on Wednesday, the association alleged that banned medicines were being administered to elephants presented at temple festivals to suppress musth. “Blood tests should be mandatory. No elephant should be paraded for more than three hours,” the association said.
