Hooda pitches in for Sajjan’s brother

Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI: Making an appeal to the voters, Haryana Chief Minster Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Thursday evening said he hoped the residents of rural areas would continue to give their support to sitting MP Sajjan Kumar and his brother Ramesh Kumar to speed up “future development of South Delhi”.

He was addressing a public meeting at Bijwasan village in support of Mr. Ramesh Kumar, the Congress candidate for the Lok Sabha from South Delhi.

Close relations

“After delimitation, Outer Delhi has been demarcated into several constituencies. As a result, the villages of this area are now part of the South Delhi seat, which is adjacent to Haryana. As the people of Delhi and Haryana have had close relations, I have come to appeal for Ramesh Kumar’s victory,” said the Haryana Chief Minister.

He claimed that the Congress was the only party capable of improving the conditions of the people living in rural areas. Mr. Sajjan Kumar and former Delhi Assembly Speaker Chaudhary Prem Singh were among those present at the meeting.
