I voted for my sister: Sanjay
Mumbai: Trying to draw a line between blood relations and political affiliations, actor Sanjay Dutt of the Samajwadi Party, who has had an uneasy relationship with sister Priya, said on Thursday that he voted for the Congress MP.
Mr. Dutt’s wife Manyata Dutt also said she voted for Priya, the Congress candidate from Mumbai North-Central constituency in the Lok Sabha elections.
“I voted for my sister. She is my blood. She has done a lot of work in the constituency,” said Mr. Dutt. Ms. Manyata Dutt said: “I have voted for the family, for the candidate and not for the party.”
After the death of Sunil Dutt in 2005, the family decided that Ms. Dutt would be with the Congress. — PTI
