ESI scheme extended

MADURAI: The Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) has announced that the ESI scheme would be implemented in the Cumbum areas of Uthamapalayam Taluk in Theni district with effect from Friday.

Areas compromising the revenue village of Cumbum Municipal limits of Uthamapalayam Taluk, revenue villages of Kamayakoundanpatti, Narayanathevanpatti (south), Narayanathevanpatti (north), Uthamapuram and C. Pudupatti are covered.

Following this, employees and their family members of Uthamapalayam Taluk areas could avail medical benefits either through ESI dispensary at Theni or any other ESI dispensary in proximity of their houses.
