Grand Alliance will at least get simple majority: B.V. Raghavulu

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: Andhra Pradesh secretary of the CPI (M) B.V. Raghavulu has said that the Grand Alliance (GA) will end up at least with a simple majority, but the magic figure could be just past 147 Assembly seats.

No party will get absolute majority in the State as the elections were keenly fought in a three-cornered contest, he told mediapersons on the sidelines of the May Day celebrations at the CPI (M) office here on Friday. He said the response of voters was mixed as they appeared to give a mandate to GA in Telangana and the Praja Rajyam and the Congress in coastal and Rayalaseema districts.
