Rain in some parts of city

Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: Some parts of the city experienced short spells of rain on Friday.

According to officials at the Meteorological Department, though high wind speeds in areas on the city’s outskirts were reported, it was not measured. The maximum temperature was 34.6 degrees Celsius, while the minimum was said to be 22.5 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity was said to be 57.

Officials at the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike control rooms said that the rainfall and gusty winds caused tree falls in some areas. A tree at the Govardhan Chitra Mandira in Yeshwanthpur fell due to rain, while another tree-fall was reported on Jakkur Main Road. In Indiranagar, a tree fell on 10th Main near the BDA Complex. However, no one was injured.
