Bid to remove hutments decried

CPI city secretary K. Subba Raju on Friday condemned the attempt by railway authorities to remove the hutments of long-time dwellers at Erukula Bazar in K.L. Rao Nagar. He said that authorities descended on the place soon after dawn and warned the dwellers of bulldozing their huts if they did not move out voluntarily. Mr. Subba Raju said that the CPI had assured the dwellers of taking up the matter with the authorities.
