ATTUR: Implementation of the combined water supply scheme for Narasingapuram municipality, 18 town panchayats and 920 hamlets will be taken up after elections, Local Administration Minister and DMK leader M.K.Stalin said here on Friday.
The State government has allotted funds for the project, which is expected to cost Rs.270 crore, he said while campaigning for DMK candidate in Kallakurichi Lok Sabha constituency, Adhi Sankar.
It was the DMK government that made concerted efforts to address water supply problems in the State, he said, and asked people to vote for the DMK-led Democratic Progressive Alliance to continue the implementation of more welfare projects. He campaigned at Vazhapadi, Talavasal and a few other parts in the district on Thursday.
