“Scorching heat not conducive for spread of swine flu”

CHENNAI: The scorching heat conditions prevailing in the State are not conducive for the spread of the swine flu virus, now being referred to as the H1NI virus, according to researchers at Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University.

The varsity has initiated continuous monitoring processes and is circulating a booklet containing information about the virus and its spread to all its centres throughout the State.

It will also maintain a vigil on all pig farms in Tamil Nadu, according to a press release.
