Chiranjeevi pinning hopes on Congress game plan in case of hung Assembly, says party leader SANGAREDDY: Praja Rajyam president K. Chiranjeevi on Saturday expressed confidence that the party would form the government either on its own or with the support of others after results were announced on May 16. He reportedly expressed this view at a review meeting in Hyderabad with the party candidates who contested elections from Medak district. Eight Assembly and two Parliament contestants in addition to district convenor P. Narayana attended the meeting. After interacting with party leaders over their performance in their respective constituencies, the PR president told party leaders that the people had received the party well and a huge turnout of women and youth at polling booths was a good indication for the party. “Our party president Chiranjeevi is pinning hopes on the Congress game plan in the case of hung Assembly. The Congress will not allow the TDP or Grand Alliance to form the government unless they get absolute majority. Then the obvious choice for Congress will be only PR,” said a party leader who attended the meeting.
