NEW DELHI: Chennai-based Precise Industries launched Gloa Gas in the Capital this past week to provide customers across the country an innovative cooking gas fuel at an economic price. Outlining details about the new product that still awaits Government clearance before it can hit the market, Precise Industries legal advisor A. Amar Selvam said the new cooking gas fuel will be far more efficacious than the ordinary LPG. “While an LPG cylinder boils one litre of water in seven minutes, our invention takes just five minutes to boil the water. The Gloa gas flame has more heating capacity and consumes 220 to 225 gm for continuous usage of one hour. In one hour of cooking, consumer can save 40 to 55 gm of gas,” added Mr. Selvam, while addressing a press conference here. Pointing out that the new product contains not just LPG but also oxygen and acetylene, Mr. Selvam claimed the new invention was a commercial viable one. “We have tested Gloa gas fuel in a state-of-the-art laboratory in Mumbai. It has no hazardous content. The motive behind this low cost production is to save consumers from the economic burden. The cost of our gas is only Rs.150 for a 14.5 kg cylinder and will be available to consumers in three months from today. This is a patented product. We are in the process of developing Gloa gas for automobile fuel.” It also plans to introduce its cooking gas fuel in Third World countries.
