Jayalalithaa to campaign in Vellore today

VELLORE: All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam general secretary Jayalalithaa will address an election campaign meeting at Fort Grounds here at 2.30 p.m. on Monday. She will seek support for the AIADMK candidate for Vellore Lok Sabha Constituency, L.K.M.B. Vasu.

Briefing reporters here on Sunday, R. Chinnasamy, Singanallur MLA, who is the campaign manager for the AIADMK-led alliance in Vellore district, said that Ms. Jayalalithaa would arrive by helicopter at the helipad at the prison warders’ parade ground near the Special Prison for Women at 2 p.m.

After the Vellore meeting, she would fly to Arni where she would address a meeting on the Fort Grounds.

She would seek support for the AIADMK candidate for the newly formed Arni Lok Sabha constituency, Mukkoor N. Subramanian.

Ms. Jayalalithaa would visit Arakkonam on May 8.
