HYDERABAD: The test results of swab samples of the passenger, who travelled from Germany to Hyderabad and was admitted to Government General and Chest Hospital, Erragadda on Sunday with suspected symptoms of N1H1 flu virus, have come negative. Results of the second passenger who reached Hyderabad from Canada last week are awaited. The hospital doctors informed that the first passenger, who came from Germany, would be discharged soon. The swab, sputum and serum samples of both the passengers were sent to National Institute of Communicable Diseases (NICD), New Delhi for confirmation of N1H1 flu virus. Meanwhile, the hospital doctors said that the facilities being provided to passengers admitted to the ‘isolation rooms’ with suspected flu symptoms rival those in any of the corporate hospitals here. The authorities have managed to provide new air-coolers to help flu victims fight the searing heat. The nurses and doctors are available round the clock. The passengers have the option of ordering food stuff like juices from outside and even get home-cooked food. The hospital authorities have also given assurance to the patients that they are in constant touch with their family members and updating them about their health status. The hospital has also arranged for their free transportation back home after they are discharged.
