KHAMMAM: The 88th birth anniversary of former chief Minister Jalagam Vengala Rao was observed in the town on Monday. A host of Congress leaders and loyalists who paid floral tributes to him, recalled the services to the district and the State. Addressing the gathering, Jalagam Venkat Rao, MLA, and son of the former Chief Minister said that the emergence of Mr. Vengala Rao as a leader owed to his commitment to the cause of the poor. His legacy would continue with the same commitment.
