Staff Reporter

Thiruvananthapuram: The control room at the Thiruvananthapuram airport, opened by the Health Department for passenger surveillance in the wake of the global public health alert on Influenza A/H1N1 infection, screened 47 air passengers on Tuesday, who had come from foreign nations. About 1,670 passengers had alighted at the airport in 14 different flights from 7 p.m. on Monday till 3 p.m. on Tuesday. However, only 47 passengers were put through the screening process. None of the passengers were found to have any symptoms of influenza or flu, the district health administration officials said.
