CENSUS IN THE SANCTUARY: Forest guards mark blocks for a census of the one-horned rhino inside the Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary, set to begin on Friday. According to the 2006 census, Pobitora, 50 km from Guwahati has the highest density of rhino population, 80 in a 38.8 sq.km. area. About 45 forest officials, NGO members and elephants will be involved in the survey.
