Chamundi is Manager of T20 team

V.V. Subrahmanyam

Chamundeswaranath.

HYDERABAD: It has been an agonizing wait ever since the Indian team for the next months Twenty-20 World Cup in England was announced. Finally, it turned out to be a simple case of better late than never for V. Chamundeswaranath, secretary of Andhra Cricket Association, as he is named manager of the Indian team for the T-20 World Cup.

This 49-year-old former Ranji cricketer is known in sporting circles, not just in cricket, as a dashing organiser who can get things done with ease. Apparently, his joy knew no bounds when the announcement was formally made by the BCCI on Friday. It is a great feeling. A question of elevation for Andhra cricket itself, was his first reaction in a chat with The Hindu.
