Another flight makes emergency landing

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: A Tirupati-bound Jet Airways flight from Hyderabad with 28 passengers on board landed at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad on Friday under emergency conditions after it developed a technical snag. The plane took off at 1.58 p.m.

The pilot detected the technical glitch and landed it safely around 2.29 p.m. as emergency personnel were kept on standby. The passengers were later flown to Tirupati via Chennai.

This is the second such incident since Thursday. An Air India flight to Tirupati with over 135 passengers aboard made an emergency landing after being airborne for 14 minutes due to a technical snag on Thursday afternoon.
