Imported red gram worth 3 cr. seized

HYDERABAD: Vigilance and Enforcement sleuths seized 1,043 metric tonnes of red gram which were hoarded by Icy City Cold Storage, Kanamarlapudi village, near Vinukonda, in Guntur district. The stocks, imported from Myanmar, have been stored illegally in the names of farmers from nearby villages and were worth Rs.3 crore. Loans too were obtained against the stocks using the names of farmers. - Special Correspondent
