Blood donation programme being organised by The Hindu on Friday.
HYDERABAD: In commemoration of birth anniversary of Sir Jean Henry Dunant, The Hindu in association with the State unit of Indian Red Cross Society organised a medical camp for slum-dwellers at Ambedkar Nagar in Ranigunj on Friday.
The camp was inaugurated by the Principal Secretary to Governor, Dr. N. Ramesh Kumar and the Society State Secretary Justice A. Lakshman Rao. In all, 400 slum-dwellers were benefited from the medical camp.
Free medicines
The patients were also provided with medicines sponsored by Reach Life Care Strategies Private Limited and food packets sponsored by Belson Taj Mahal Hotel.
A panel of 12 doctors and Society members attended the patients. Seventy-eight volunteers from The Hindu donated blood.
