Three militants killed

IMPHAL: Three militants were gunned down in an encounter on Saturday night with the combined force of Imphal east district commandos and troopers of 26 Assam Rifles.

Police sources said the combined team rushed to Kalika Chingkhong about 1 km away from the police station at Iribung. In the ensuing encounter, the three militants were killed while others managed to escape. Three pistols and two hand grenades were recovered.
