Acharya for master plan to develop Sonda

Sirsi: A master plan should be prepared to develop Sonda as a tourism and spiritual centre, Home Minster V.S. Acharya has said.

He was participating in a function to inaugurate the renovated temple building at Wadiraj Math at Sonda near here on Saturday.

Stating that Sri Wadiraj was also a good administrator, he said that an institute of management should be set up in his memory.

Hindutva aimed at peace and prosperity. People who knew the essence of Hinduism would not embrace other religions, the Home Minister added. District in-charge Minister Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri said that the renovated temple building should be developed as a centre for value-based spiritual and cultural education. Sonda would be developed as a spiritual and tourism centre, he added. 0Vidyasagar Teertha Swamiji of Udupi Krishnapur Math and Vishwavallabha Teertha Swamiji of Sode Wadiraj Math were present.

Hulekal Gram Panchayat president Narasimha Hegde presided over the function.
