NEW DELHI: Viswanathan Anand and Vladimir Kramnik won their eighth-round rapid games as Rest of the World completed a comprehensive 21.5-10.5 victory over Azerbaijan at Baku on Saturday. The visiting team won the last round 2.5-1.5 after Anand defeated Raul Mamedov and Kramnik stopped Shakhriyar Mamedyarov. Azerbaijan’s Teimour Radjabov ended the unbeaten run of Sergey Karjakin while the winning team’s Alexei Shirov drew with Vugar Gashimov. Meanwhile, in the 39th Bosna tournament at Sarajevo, P. Hari Krishna (1.5 points) drew his third game against Ivan Sokolov in the third round on Sunday. Ukraine’s Pavel Eljanov (2.5) leads the field.
