Engineer commits suicide

NEW DELHI: An engineer (23) allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself in her hostel room at Prashant Vihar here on Saturday.

According to the police, Prerna was found hanging from the ceiling around 8:30 p.m. She was a trainee executive engineer with a power company, the police said.

Inquest proceedings into her death have been initiated and her parents, residents of Ghaziabad, have been informed.
