NEW DELHI: Australian Open junior champion Yuki Bhambri, riding on back-to-back ITF wins, made a giant leap to achieve his career-best ATP ranking of 664, a jump of 175 spots.

Somdev Devvarman continued to be India’s No. 1 player and rose six rungs to 140, his career-best ranking too.

Prakash Amritraj also gained three spots to be at 163.

In doubles, Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi hung on to their fifth and ninth positions, while Rohan Bopanna improved two spots to 66.

In the women’s rankings, Sania Mirza continued to languish in the 90s and was ranked 92. — PTI
