Abdulla Kunhi (second right), chairman of Yenepoya Group of Institutions, releasing ‘Kutumba’ a magazine, during the district Faizee’s convention in Mangalore on Tuesday MANGALORE: The district committee of the Faizees Association held its convention here on Tuesday. The members also recalled the services of the founders of the association. Faizee Association is an offshoot of the Kerala-based “Samasth Association” formed by scholars, who have secured Maulvi Mazil Faizee degree from the Pattikkad Jamiah Nooriyya Arabic College in Kerala. Member of the Central Mushaavar Association M.A. Khasim Musaliyar Alkhasimi, in his key-note address said: “There is no place for terrorism in Islam.” All the leaders and scholars should come forward to strengthen Faizee Association and Samasth Association, which were both propagating the spirit of love, peace, and solidarity in society. Inaugurating the convention, Shaikunha Abdul Jabbar Musaliyar, member of samasth, said everyone should lead a life of love, peace, and harmony, which both Islam and Samasth stood for. Khaji of Manipal Haji V.K. Abbobacker Musaliyar presided over the convention. Founder members of Samasth Varkul Tanjyil and Shamshul Ulemma were remembered. “Kutumba”. a Kannada monthly magazine, was released by chairman of Zeenath Baksh Y.M.K. Abdulla Kunhi.
