Body found in parked car

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: The body of an unidentified man was found lying on the rear seat of a car belonging to a transport operator at Maqta village in Miyapur on Tuesday evening.

The highly decomposed status of the body did not give any clue to the police to ascertain if the victim died accidentally after entering the car or if someone dumped the body inside after murdering him.

The bloated condition of the body made it difficult to make out if there were any injuries on it, the Balanagar ACP, Sridhar Rao, told reporters.

The car owner, K. Ashok, who owns two DCM vans, used to park the vehicle in the open space beside his house. He would mostly use his bike to go around and would take out the car only while going out with family members.

He told the police that he parked the car on Saturday and locked it.

No clues

When he opened it on Tuesday evening, he found the decomposed body on the rear seat. Police suspect that some persons would have removed the beading of the side door, lowered the glass and put the body inside it after killing the victim somewhere.
