Easy for CASC

Cantonment Area Sports Club defeated Osmania University 3-0 in the A-2 Division hockey league championship at the Gymkhana Grounds here on Tuesday. Sharath, Stephen and Dinesh were the scorers.

SCF Blues in final

Sports Coaching Foundation (Blues) recorded an eight-wicket win over FCC to enter the under-16 final of the 10th Boston Cup inter-school floodlit cricket tournament at the SCF Grounds (Masab Tank) here. In the final, SCF will take on Noble Public School.

The scores: FCC 66 for eight (Himanshu three for 12) lost to SCF Blues 69 for two.

Chaitanya shines

An all-round performance by Y. Chaitanya Krishna, who scored 55 and then claimed four wickets for five runs including a hat-trick, helped Indus School record a 75-run win over the visiting Nagpur Cricket Academy’s under-14 squad at Indus School here.

The scores: Indus School 172 for five (Y. Chaitanya Krishna 55, Rishikesh 35, Sai Chaitanya 31, Yash Agarwal three for 25) bt Nagpur Cricket Academy 97 (Teja Deshpande 31 n.o., Y. Chaitanya Krishna four for five).

Road races

Athletics Coaching Academy (Hyderabad) will organise its 12th Summer Road Run on May 24 at the Lal Bahadur Stadium near Babu Jagjivan Ram Statue from 6 a.m. Competitions will be held for men (4.5km), women (3m) boys and girls under-16 years (3km), and for boys and girls under-13 years and veterans (1.5 km). Sachdev Cup football

The sixth Sachdev Sports Cup inter-summer camps football tournament for boys’ under-14, sponsored by Sachdev Sports Co. and organised by Shastri Soccer Club, will be held at the Trimulgherry Village Grounds from May 22. There will be no entry fee for this knock-out tournament for which entries close on May 18.
