Undertrial prisoner’s bid to commit suicide

BERHAMPUR: An undertrial prisoner in the Chatrapur sub-jail in Ganjam district, Prafulla Bala (36) attempted to commit suicide. He tried to cut his throat with a shaving blade. He was accused of murdering his wife. According to jail officials he has suicidal tendency. He has already tried and failed in his attempt to commit suicide inside the jail. It was his third unsuccessful attempt to end his life.
