Guns found in garbage bin

KOCHI: Corporation staff clearing the garbage bin at Deshabhimani junction, Kaloor found two guns inside it on Friday morning.

The Ernakulam Town North Police was immediately alerted.

The police team took the guns to the armoury shop at the Armed Reserve Camp here.

After preliminary inspection, they were found to be a toy gun and an air pistol.

The air pistol was not in working condition and was totally damaged.

Officials at the armoury are conducting further tests on it, said the police.
