Chhetri to lead
NEW DELHI: Forward Sunil Chhetri will lead the Delhi team in the 63rd National football championship for the Santosh Trophy to be held in Tamil Nadu from May 24 to June 14.
Placed in Cluster V, Delhi will meet Railways on May 24 and Assam on May 26 in the qualifying round.
The squad: Goalkeepers: Vinay Singh (vice-capt.), Pronay Roy; Defenders: Vikas Rawat, Gagandeep Singh, Pushpender Kundu, Bijender Kumar, Manoj Joshi, Sohrab Khan, Anil Bara; Midfielders: Praveen Rawat, Amjad, Shanta Singh, Amit Sharma, Nirmaldeep, Manish Khatri, Sumit Thapa; Forwards: Sunil Chhetri (capt.), Gaimlung Kamei, Mahender Singh, David. Coach: Surinder Kumar.
