VISAKHAPATNAM: Sudeepto Majumdar of Sri Chaitanya IIT Academy here scored 480 out of 500 marks in the CBSE XII standard examination, the results of which were announced on Wednesday. This was the highest aggregate of marks scored in the city, the academy’s Principal S. Raghu Kumar claimed in a press release. While Majumdar secured 96 per cent, K. Nagaraju secured 95.8 per cent (478 out of 500 marks). Others who secured good marks were Ravi Kumar (467), Manish Kumar Singh and Karishma Patnaik (464 each) while 12 others (Meraj Alam, Amit Patra, Archisman Roy, Subhadeep Purkayastha, Aishwarya Ramkumar, Nikita O’Connor, Sushant Sinha, Sourav Sen, Maitri Ksheirimaym, Yateendra Sahu, M. Saahiti and Olenka Dey) secured 90 per cent or more. Mr. Raghu Kumar and Dean Pardhasaradhi congratulated the students and their teachers for the good results. Vikas wards shine Vikas Educational Institutions local unit executive director V.N.N. Murty said in a release that Varsha Yadav, one of their students, had secured 472 out of 500 marks. Others who have done well include Sanjukta Nandi (472 marks) and Mananita Das (471). Two hundred seventy five students got distinction and 575 secured first class.
