10 injured in clash, one held

PERNAMBUT: Ten persons were injured in a clash between two families at Periathaamaltheruvu near here on Wednesday.
One person was arrested in this connection on Thursday.
According to police, there were problems between Sriramalu (46) and Janarthan following the alleged disappearance of the former’s daughter, who was later traced.
On Wednesday night, Janarthan, his elder brother Kumaresan and father Damodaran had gone to Sriramalu’s residence and created trouble. This led to a fight.
Sriramalu’s relative Paneer, who was staying next door, intervened and in the clash, his relatives were injured.
A complaint was lodged with the Pernambut police and Damodaran was arrested on Thursday.
The police is on the lookout of Janarthan and Kumaresan.
