MADURAI: In a tragic case, a State-owned bus reportedly dashed a young apprentice worker against a wall to his death at the Ellis Nagar depot here on Thursday. Police said that Balasubramanian (24) reported for work in the morning, he was instructed to assist an employee in removing a bus parked outside the compound wall and tow it inside for carrying out maintenance works. Even as Balasubramanian was standing behind the bus, the bus driver allegedly lost control and moved the bus in a slope and dashed against him on the wall before anything could be done to stop the vehicle. He suffered injuries and died. S. S. Colony police visited the spot. Further investigation is on.
