Under-trial escapes from police custody

NEW DELHI: An under-trial being taken for production in a Tis Hazari court here escaped from the custody of the Punjab police on Thursday. Sunil Kumar alias Sagar was being tried in a robbery case registered in the Capital. He was being taken to the court by a five-member Punjab police team around 9-30 a.m. when he managed to give them a slip. The escort team then informed the court concerned about it.
